A Needed Change
Rob & Gerry took the big step over 9 years ago
when they moved to and fell in love with the Lake Chapala
/ Ajijic (Ah-hee-heek) area, the people and the lifestyle.
Both worked fast paced jobs, and wanted more time to enjoy
newfound friends and warmer weather. They also wanted an
international airport close by, the convenience of good
shopping and wonderful restaurants, a golf course, and
a place where they could enjoy cultural events and the
arts.
Paradise Found
Lured by advertising, they discovered the answer
to their dreams when they arrived, the weather was nearly
perfect, world-class shopping and restaurants abound both
here at Lakeside and in nearby Guadalajara. But the charm
of cobblestone streets, walled gardens with a riot of vibrant
colors and intoxicating perfumes - picturesque village
homes with lovely painted walls and gates, plus the large
international community, where Spanish is not a necessity,
beckoned them immediately. The friendliness and caring
of both the ex- pats and Mexicans warmly welcomed them
home. "No matter where you go,
there are no strangers, everyone is so friendly and we love
it."
